Do I need to create an account?
No. RxShield does not require an account, email, phone number, or any personal identifier.
Where is my medication data stored?
In a local database on your device. There is no cloud account system and medication records are not uploaded to our servers.
Does it track my health too?
Yes. Log blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and SpO₂ right in the app. You get trend charts, a full history, and a daily health-check reminder — no external health platform needed.
Will it remind me even if the app is closed?
Yes. On supported Android devices RxShield uses your phone’s native Clock app for alarms, with its own local alarm and notification functionality as a reliable fallback.
Can I export my data to show my doctor?
Yes. Export any health metric as CSV, or generate a full PDF report of your medications, dose history, and health readings — saved and shareable from your phone.
Is RxShield a medical device?
No. RxShield is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It does not provide medical advice or prescribe medications. Always consult a qualified doctor or pharmacist.
Does the interaction check need the internet?
No. Interaction checks use a bundled database stored on your device. An optional online medication search may contact public services like RxNorm, PubChem, or Wikidata when your search isn’t found locally.
Does it support dark mode and larger text?
Yes. RxShield offers light, dark, and system themes, a high-contrast mode, and text that scales up to 200% — with a built-in preview of what screen readers announce.
How do I delete my data?
Delete records inside the app, or clear the app’s data / uninstall to remove everything stored locally.
